Ugh. fucking comics. Thanx for the hand full of people still reading.

You are just one artist doing a large (size) and ambitious (content) comic. You have changed your art style from fairly simple, to complex, to a quality level rarely seen in webcomics. Since this isn’t your full time job (and how could it be?) it is no surprise that you seem to always be overtaxed and have trouble making your updates.

I think this comic has gone steadily uphill since its birth and you should be proud of that, but there is a reason that most web comics are drawn in three panels with mediocre detailing. Penny Arcade updated regularly with art that was almost inked doodles at the beginning. The art has improved and they have money and staff to spare, but the regular updates never changed and that helped build the fan base.

I’m not comparing SDC to Penny Arcade, they are completely different beasts but you have to make your workload reasonable. Do I love your art and style? Fuck yes- but I would prefer a less burnt out Elliot who has no difficulty making updates. I also prefer SDC in any fashion to no SDC.

I know you didn’t ask but thats just my 2 cents on the issue as a long time reader. Take it for what you will, and thanks for all of the work you put into this comic.

Thanx man. I try to keep getting better, at both the drawing and writing but sometimes I just lose focus and perspective and it seems Im not making much progress. Its good to hear from someone else that I’m getting better at this. Thanx for keeping up for soo long with the comic.

I know its already been pointed out before but…..mother of god…dat stache, i can only imagine the immense powers (of :waffle: ) behind it O.o

Never mind the ‘stache, HE HAS THUMBS NOW!!! ⊙▂⊙

So, anyone speak Latin? I’m kinda curious what Moose is saying there. Also, my fellow Spinnerette readers may now understand why it has been so difficult to find a suitable replacement for Minerva. :lmao:

With a mix of my language knowledge I would say: Cerberus (the three headed dog, for anyone itnerested) constringo should be like a spell to bind it. And then he calls forth a fire spirit (I would assume to burn it). But I never learnt latin.

Hey, it’s more than a handful; I hadn’t read anything you’d done previously, only the current version (everyone keeps referring to some previous iteration, which is kind of confusing for me) but I *love* your art-work. Keep it up, ’tis brilliant! :eager: :highfive: :flail:

I also agree, take it easy. I enjoy the comic and while it is sporadic, take a breath.

If you have to cut down to less panels like suggested, still would be worth it.

You probably guessed, but: that’s some terrible dog-Latin. Every noun is in the nominative. If Winson’s directly addressing him by name, as in, “Cerebrus, I bind you, …,” that should be in the vocative, Cerebre. The direct object of a verb should be in the accusative. Winston uses the plural form of you, which might actually make sense here, but if so the other words referring to Cerebrus should have been plural as well. I’m not sure precisely what you meant by anima spiritus, but either there should be a conjunction in there somewhere or one of those nouns should be an adjective and their genders should agree.

Don’t worry, it doesn’t detract too much from the strip.
